Short rank rant

Kettlebell sport ranks are nice to give a hint about where you stand with your lifting. As there are so many ranking systems, I prefer looking at the Russian GS-federation's ranks. That table is based on a big enough population of lifters, consistent judging, a viable competition scene etc. If we had 5000 lifters in Sweden and hundred judges with the same training I would love a Swedish ranking table as well, but we are not there yet.

When I lift other weights than 24kgs I sometimes glance at the WKC-table.

The Russian rank-requirements for LC increased steeply with the new 2014-2017 table:

2010-2013

2014-2017
Poor me :-); rank 1 increased from 69 to 79 reps with 24kgs. I will see if I reach that before 2017.

Anyway, changing the map doesn't change the terrain. If I lift XXreps it is still XXreps regardless how you classify it according to ranks.

Talking about the WKC-table - it seems like that is being abolished along with WKC competitions in in biathlon and long cycle which is a pity.

Here is where you can get the latest Russian ranks: (LINK, click the excel-file)
