How come this is fun? It looks slightly crazy but not truly fun |
Wanted (1) to see what happened if I tried a longer snatch set, and (2) check my rack endurance.
The snatches felt fine. Need to work on a smoother trajectory on my way down. Grip was fine.
I have taken for granted that my rack is still... great :-). Notably, standing in rack doesn't give any points, but it can be handy to have some rack endurance when building up 10min sets as well as squeesing out a few extra reps even if your rpm is sub-par after minute 7 or so. Well, I have not practiced rack in itself in a long time. But I could do 10minutes with 28s at a very low tempo. Good for technique practice.
Biathlon is very good for improving LC, strength endurance and technique. I will see if I can stand to train some more biathlon. Honestly, the first minutes in snatch each side can feel boring. On the other hand, it gets very exciting when one approaches one's limit.
By the way, I now remembered why I used to wear vrist wraps. I don't use it in LC anymore. But standing in SC jerk rack, and then snatching, wrist wraps are nice.
