An elegant summary

Over at the Dragon Door forum, a person under the alias "Fireman Tom, RKC" did this elegant summary of various training forms (LINK):
GS is referred to as a "power-endurance" sport by the Russian Physical Education researchers, and the Military. Find the first RKC book and read all about it. Argue with these experts.

Weightlifting is a Power sport.
Powerlifting is a Strength sport
Long Distance Running is an Endurance sport.
Hard-Style is a marketing term to describe how Dragondoor advocates you use KBs for general fitness, which includes strength, health and flexibility.

If you want to be really powerful, do Olympic Weightlifting.
If you want to be really strong, do Powerlifting.
If you want high-level endurance, Running, Biking and/or Swimming have been used by world class athletes since athletics started.

KBs are a great generalist fitness tool. What determines your success/results is HOW you train with them (sets/reps/volume/intensity, etc.), and your skill level, not the brand or style of KB used.
