Tried to make a 8min 5rpm lc-set: it worked out, but not with any margins. HR was 181 bpm (96% of max).
It is nice with the HR-monitor. In my case, the monitor seems more interesting when doing long cycle than in biathlon. Maybe, because cardio seems to be more of a limiting factor in lc - for me - at the present.
My plan is hard to follow. I feel ok for now - no major aches or pains - but I am prepared to double up some rest days if that feels called for. Some alterations have been made in the template. The first plan is found here (LINK).

Your LC seems to be going up nicely! Keep it up. My own training PR is actually 37. What's your goal for the competition?
So far this year I have been doing only a lot of overspeed short intervals. My longest set with 24's so far is only two minutes. I'll try to get few longer sets before the competition, but it propably comes too soon for me anyway.
Thanks Kalle! Didn't you get like +60 reps in competion? That's a lot more than 37 - that's a strong psyche.
I think I worked my rpms & cardio ok, but I just got a bad cold so I will see how training works out. My long term goal is 50 reps.
In Uddevalla; between 25 and 45 maybe :-)
Yes I did 63 reps in Tampere. I propably am in minority, but I only get about 60% of my competition results in practice. Then again I have never done longer than 6 minute sets outside competition.
Just be patient with your flu, there's still plenty of time to get well.
I see no reason why you couldn't do more than 50 in Uddevalla.
