Pyramid with easy bells, calculated from a max of 40 reps.
Has been ages (March) since I put a vid here so I do that today. Feel good showing what you are doing. Not the least to avoid future shocks... "Didn't you know it is now against the rules to interlace your fingers in rack"... or "I thought you were very good but..." :-):

Some of my best grip work outs nowadays consist of hobby metal working.
Another rolling fat grip is under production.
The old one (right) works very well, so I am making the second just for the fun of it. The curbes in the frame are actually forged. I was burning some stuff, I thought "why not try to heat the fire up with an hot air gun"? The fire became very hot, so I put the flat iron pieces in and the iron glowed even up to white yellowish for a while.
The bondo logo bells that I described last post. Will put a round piece of steel plate in the logo hole on both of them, and seal the bottom of the 2nd bell as well. Can't stop thinking of the lead inside, even though it should be physically impossible that it poisons you just cast inside a bell. Think of lead e.g. in electric cables in old houses. Will seal them anyhow. (Why is the pic sideaways?).
This hex iron rod is a piece of a stone drill. My plan is to make loading pin of it to go with the fat handles. The hexagon shape would look cool. It fits snugly with my school weights. 0,75€ at the Hermansson & Olsson junk yard, and that included a piece of 5mm metal plate for sealing the bells. Thus, no catastrophy, if the result is too ugly to use.

Those look like some nice grip handles. Almost like the rolling thunder ones, what's their thickness?
Hi Boris
Thanks! Diameter is 60mm, Rolling Thunder is 61mm.
If you are into RT, try swings with a light weight for fun.
A long term plan is to make several dimensions of exchangeable handles. Just when I come across some solid enough iron pipes (have a low expenses approach). Also, look on the loading pin post later today :-)
Rolling Thunder is awful! I've tried it once. Difficult :)
Nice job with the jerks!

Thanks Flower!
Yes, it Rolling thunder is terrible, but quite entertaining. I overdid it as I'm not used to the pinch/thumb grip. I took a backoff and am about to start slowly and smarter again - with more timed hold for endurance.
So .. trying to make stronger grip for GS, or just for fun?
My opinion (just my :) is that the specific grip tools don't necessary help you as much as the GS-training itself does.
It's not really even a 'grip' when you hold the handle anyway. I mean .. you don't squeeze it, do you?
But I'm just GS all the way -- cannot really see anything else these days. ;)
That's right - nothing shold over shadow GS!
I agree that GS should be the best for GS-grip.
Maybe some assistance can be good. E.g. if a person jerk one day, snatch the other, that is OH-centered work. There, to save shoulder, I often do some snatches and some grip/back training which is not over head. Just something I made up myself though...:-)
Fat grip - it is very fun. I am still trying out to see if it can be useful for snatch. But, I will only do little before Ventspils. Then, we will see if fat grip will be for training or just occasional testing.
Cool with the SM!
Well, that grip stuff IS fun. Tough, but it's fun to test and try some stuff. :)
Good to see you in Latvia!!
And remember, it is very possible that I am just trying to find reasons for doing a bit of welding. :-)
Yes, look forward to see you too, hope there will be lots of Tex-Mex time as well!
Tex mex is important! And .. The Team USA will be there as well. Texmex and drinks with CI ;)
